PMA/Philips Industrial Controller Reduces Down-Time Economic Industrial Controller has "Thinking" Operator Guidance System
Pyrometer Instrument Co., Inc., Northvale, NJ – North American Distributor for PMA/Philips introduces the KS 94 industrial controller. The KS 94 incorporates a "thinking" operator guidance system, that uses standard symbols, plain-language tests combined with software & hardware interlocks to prevent operating errors thus reducing downtime. Additionally, the KS 94 utilizes reliable, robust algorithms to achieve close tolerance stable process conditions. The KS 94 is configurable as a signaler, two point, three point, three point stepping, or as a continuous controller. The output function can be configures for ? / Y / Off, continuous with positioner, split range control and various three (3) point combinations of switching / continuous control. Control modes are set-point, set-point / cascade, and programmer, each with the ability of set-point offset. The effect of the offset can be additive (reduced standby set-point) or as a factor ( 02 correction or split load). The offset can be triggered by an external contact where the value is defined via analog signal or an adjustable parameter. The following additional control modes are also available – Ratio Control (stoichiometric combustion, mixing ratios, additives, batching). Three-Element Control (level control in a steam boiler), and Mean-value calculation from two process values. The KS 94 incorporates universal inputs and is configurable via keypad or front and rear serial ports. Programmable I/O utilizes five analog and twelve digital inputs, four analog, three relay and twelve digital outputs. Additionally, the KS 94 incorporates a real time clock, PC based simulation software and Profibus DP Communication is available via RS422/485 interface. Ambient operating temperatures 0°C - 55°C. Meets European CE & Din requirements.
