Pyrofiber® Dual Temperature Range IR Thermometer with Automatic Emissivity Correction
Designed To Measure Dynamic Targets Over Side Temperature Range Pyrometer Instrument Co Inc., Northvale, NJ Introduces the Pyrofiber®, "Dual Temperature Range," non-contact, automatic emissivity correcting, IR thermometer specially designed to measure dynamic temperature targets ranging from 250°C-3000°C. The Pyrofiber® DTRs microprocessor control toggles seamlessly between two discrete electronic circuits to accomplish this task. Radiance and emissivity values are measured separately utilizing one circuit at 1.550m for temperatures ranging between 250°C-950°C while another circuit at 0.865m measures temperatures ranging between 950°C-3000°C The Pyrofiber® DTR IR thermometer provides the user with complete temperature measurement information. Target temperature, "true target temperature"--(automatically corrected for emissivity) and emissivity values can be output via analog or digital signal to a PLC, PC or network main frame for process control or analysis. The Pyrofibers® DTR software is extremely flexible allowing this unit to be incorporated into a wide variety of laboratory and industrial temperature measurement applications. The Pyrofiber® DTR IR thermometer provides unmatched temperature measurement accuracy within ±5°F (±3°C). Incorporating patented pulse laser technology the Pyrofiber® DTR accurately measures infrared radiance while simultaneously measures and corrects for emissivity. (Emissivity is value that must be established to accurately determine infrared true temperature.) Target size ranges between .040" 2.300" (1mm 58mm) diameter at focal distance from 4" 120" (101mm3048mm) are available. Additionally, custom fiber optic sensor heads and probes are available to suit specific applications. The Pyrofiber® DTR IR thermometer can also incorporate an additional feature to measure reflective radiance from extraneous sources, such as furnace walls, eliminating additional error, assuring temperature accuracy over the instruments broad temperature range.
