P310 Blackbody Radiation Calibration Source
New Blackbody Calibration Source Combines Accuracy with Portability The Pyrometer Instrument Co. Inc., Northvale, NJ introduces its new P310 precision blackbody calibration source. The P310 has a 75mm (3.0") aperture opening and employs a highly conductive copper cone shaped cavity that achieves a near ideal emissivity value of 0.99 or better over its entire temperature range The P310 will provide any temperature between ambient +10°C to 300°C accurately to ±0.25% of reading ±1°C. (Accuracy calibration performed radiometrically, the uncertainty of emissivity and transfer standards are already included.) The P310 accuracy is traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). A certificate of calibration is supplied with the unit. The P310 is compact portable unit with built-in digital indicating controller that can ber set at any temperature between ambient + 10°C and 300"C. Once set, the source temperature is controlled to within ±2°C by an internal RTD sensor. The P310 requires only 30 minutes warm-up to achieve 200°C and can be operated at ambient temperature ranging from 0°C—44°C (32°F—110°F). Optional RS232 or RS 485 serial communication prt is available to allow the current displayed temperature to be output to an external PC controller. Applications include calibration of infrared temperature sensors, heat flux meters, radiometers, infrared imaging systems and spectrographic analyzers.
