PMA / Philips Compact Eight Loop Din Rail Controller

Features a choice of Four Field Bus Interfaces

Pyrometer Instrument Company, Inc. Northvale, NJ – North American Distributor for PMA/Philips introduces the KS 800 eight loop din rail controller.  This multiple loop temperature controller features an independent control unit which allows for “decentralized control” and incorporates a choice of bus interfaces including Device Net, Profibus-DP, CANbus/CANopen and RS232/485.

The KS 800’s easy configuration of parameter settings and operation is accomplished by utilizing Windows based "Engineering Tool Software" via the front socket connection or remote bus network. The KS 800 can accept eight universal analog inputs, four digital inputs and a heating current transformer input. Outputs include twelve logic outputs for control and three for alarms. Alarm outputs can be used for relative, absolute, sensor fault or heating current.

Additionally, two selectable control functions, automatic start-up circuit and watchdog timer with output hold and auto tuning are available. The KS 800 also features multiple PID sets with various choices of control characteristics, including, two or three point with DPID, three point stepping or internal cascade. All PID sets include alarm functions.

The KS800 allows for a choice of screw terminals or screw-less clamp connections. The prime power requirement is 24vdc. The KS800 can be controlled by an optional BT 800 operators panel for stand-alone operation.

The KS 800 is ideally suited for temperature control on plastic machines, processing machines, dryers, packaging machines, mould tempering units and furnace control.
