equipment temperature measurement,
thermal line scanner.

The PYRO ThermAtrace® II
non contact infrared thermometer is a portable, cost effective alternative to todays conventional thermal imaging cameras. ThermAtrace® II
thermal line scanner allows the operator to instantly locate and analyze temperature hot or cold spots on targets by superimposing a bright red LED "A-trace" upon the operator field of view. This thermal line scan represents the temperature distribution along a single line on the target. The simpleto-use ThermAtrace® II scanner is designed for plant and field applications to locate potential failures before they occur. A photographic recording accessory enables the ThermAtrace® II to obtain an instant hard-copy picture of the measurement area. Measurements can be made over five selectable temperature spans: 10° C, 30° C, 100° C, 300° C and 1000° C with detailed examination of any portion of the thermal A-trace.

The PYRO ThermAtrace® II
thermal line scanner represents the economical alternative to costly thermal imagers. Used by industrial plants, building management and construction, hospitals, hotels, utility and service companies as a preventative maintenance tool to quickly detect excessive temperature problems.

The ThermAtrace® II comes complete and ready to use. The front surface of the ThermAtrace II scanning mirror is transparent to visible light, but reflects infrared energy. As the operator views the visible scene, the mirror scans across a 24-degree field of view. The instrument collects the infrared energy and focuses it on an infrared detector. This electronic signal drives a light-emitting diode (LED) array display and, in proportion to the temperature of the target, illuminates an element in the operator display. As the mirror scans the target, the operator sees a red A-trace super-imposed over the visible scene. Resulting in a instant viewing of temperature problems. The ThermAtrace® II scans at the rate of four (4) lines per second in normal mode and eight (8) lines per second for high speed acquisition mode.
The ThermAtrace® II provides two baselines for temperature detection of both Hot spots and Cold spots against a uniform background with equal clarity. As the operator targets on a problem area, the photographic recording accessory enables the ThermAtrace® II to obtain an instant hard-copy picture of the measurement area.
