Pyrometer CellaPort PT 129
Article description
The CellaPort PT 129 is equipped with a special blocking filter. As a result, the measurement is not affected by daylight. This pyrometer also responds substantially less sensitive on reflective external radiation from hot objects around than conventional devices working at short wavelengths. This means that the CellaPort PT 129 can be used for a wide variety of applications in the metalworking industry and in particular for measuring the temperature of aluminium and bare metals at low temperatures. Due to the blocking filter, it can also be used for measurements in processes in which diode, Nd:YAG or CO2 lasers are used for heating. The energetically high laser radiation does not influence the measurement.

The correct emissivity to be set on the pyrometer is calculated from the measured value displayed on the pyrometer, the true object temperature, the emissivity preset at the pyrometer and the ambient temperature (required for some instrument types).
