Pyrometers have proven themselves for temperature measurement during punching, stretching and finish rolling. Based on the two-colour measurement method, a high optical resolution and a very short measurement time, the CSD function in the pyrometer is able to specifically filter out the measured values at the hot spots of the scale- and oxide-free surface.
