The CellaTemp® PX 29 is equipped with a special blocking filter and sensor. As a result, the measurement is not affected by daylight or laser radiation. The CellaTemp® PX 29 also responds substantially less sensitive on reflective external radiation from hot objects around than conventional devices working at short wavelengths. The combinability of the assembly groups and lenses results in 24 device variants. In combination with the supplementary lenses, very small objects from Ø 0.3 mm can be detected. Due to the large measuring ranges and the many optical variations, the CellaTemp® PX 29 can be used for a wide variety of applications in the metalworking industry. It is used among others for measuring the temperature of aluminium and bare metals at low temperatures. Due to the blocking filter, the CellaTemp® PX 29 is also suitable for measurement in processes where diode, Nd:YAG or CO₂ lasers are used for heating without the high energy of the laser influencing the measured value. This means that the pyrometer can be used in PVD (physical vapour deposition) coating processes.

Emissivity calculator

The correct emissivity to be set on the pyrometer is calculated from the measured value displayed on the pyrometer, the true object temperature, the emissivity preset on the pyrometer and the ambient temperature (necessary for some types).
From the true object temperature, the emissivity of the measurement object, the emissivity set on the pyrometer and the ambient temperature (required for types), the measured value calculated by the pyrometer is displayed.
