The CellaTemp® PK 25 is equipped with a special blocking filter. As a result, the measurement is not affected by daylight. The infrared thermometer also reacts much less sensitively to reflective interfering radiation in the environment than conventional devices working at short wavelengths. The CellaTemp® PK 25 is used for a wide variety of applications in the metalworking industry and in particular for measuring the temperature of aluminium and bare metals at low temperatures. Due to the blocking filter, it can also be used for measurements in processes in which diode, Nd:YAG or CO2 lasers are used for heating. The energetically high laser radiation does not influence the measurement. The new generation of the CellaTemp® PK pyrometer series is equipped with a smart function, the vitality indicator.

This is a self-monitoring, analysis and reporting technology (SMART), i.e. a function for self-monitoring, analysis and status reporting. The vitality monitor continuously records all relevant operating data. As part of preventive maintenance, this enables the pyrometer to autonomously signal the optimum time for a service check and calibration, depending on the operating conditions.

Emissivity calculator

The correct emissivity to be set on the pyrometer is calculated from the measured value displayed on the pyrometer, the true object temperature, the emissivity preset on the pyrometer and the ambient temperature (necessary for some types).
From the true object temperature, the emissivity of the measurement object, the emissivity set on the pyrometer and the ambient temperature (required for types), the measured value calculated by the pyrometer is displayed.
